Project Description:

1. Construction of the following:

   1. 0.8 km. diversion canal from Sta.16+880 of the BHIP-I Main canal to the proposed reservoir of Bayongan Dam.

   2. 34.5 m. high earth fill dam across Bayongan River.

   3. Main Canal (12.7 km) interconnecting the Bayongan reservoir with the Capayas reservoir.

   4. Lateral Canal, (49.7km.) drainage and road network in the 4,550 ha. comprising of 4,140 ha. in. the Bayongan system and 410 ha.of an extension area in the Capayas  System with existing area of 750 ha. Lateral Canal (18.0 km.), Drainage Canals (65.3 km.).

2. Development of on-farm facilities including land development.

3. Relocation and/or resettlement of families (about 268 families) affected by the dam  construction and reservoir.

4. Water management plan including water measurement and communication network.
